En el contexto del examen, una reseña suele escribirse para una revista, un periódico o un sitio web en inglés. El objetivo principal es describir y expresar una opinión personal sobre algún tema en específico, por ejemplo: una película, unas vacaciones, un producto, un sitio web, un libro, etc. Sin olvidar que una reseña incluye normalmente una recomendación para el lector. En este caso, se trata de una tarea similar a la del artículo, pero suele ser de algo mucho más concreto.
Al redactar una reseña es necesario tener en cuenta su estructura, lo que da al texto coherencia y cohesión.
Se divide en tres partes: la introducción, el cuerpo del texto y una recomendación para los lectores.
- La introducción:
El objetivo principal de la introducción es suscitar el interés del lector a través del uso de una pregunta retórica o del uso de vocabulario. Menciona el título, el tipo de documento, el tema y revela simplemente algunos indicios sobre la trama. No querrás arruinar la sorpresa.
- El cuerpo del texto:
Esta sección la puedes dividir en 2 párrafos. El primero debe incluir unadescripción generalizadasobre un libro, película, evento, etc. El segundo párrafo hace referencia a tu punto de vista sobre los personajes, la actuación y otros elementos. La gran ventaja de esta parte es que simplemente debes responder a las preguntas.
- Recomendación:
Al final de la reseña, debes incluir una valoración general o recomendación. Normalmente está acompañada de una justificación.

Who hasn’t heard of James Bond? The British secret agent must surely be the world’s most famous movie hero. Not only has this franchise been successful for several decades, James Bond movies are and have been box office hits all over the world since the 1960s.
Its main character, the charming and clever agent 007 combines sophistication and physical strength. He is not only intelligent but also a perfect soldier. The movies completely rely on his
character because it is James Bond who adds all the different elements that make these movies so successful: humour, romance, action and quirky but charming Britishness. Of course there
have been other spy movies, and good ones too, but this is different. James Bond has been delighting audiences for so many years, it’s simply incomparable.
I would certainly recommend his films to people of all ages. The earlier movies are less action-oriented and might appeal to a more mature audience while the latest ones would be more popular with a younger audience. There’s something for everyone. So go and take a look for yourselves: You won’t regret it.
Como puedes ver, es un texto muy parecido a los artículos (el tono, la gramática, la puntuación, etc.), pero en este caso describo una película que he visto y que me gustó. En una review de una película debes hablar del argumento, de los personajes/actores y debes ofrecer una recomendación al lector.

Con el objetivo de escribir correctamente una reseña, existe un vocabulario específico que puedes usar para cada parte. En la introducción puedes usar frases como:
